… is a technique which ensures an enhanced performance in regards to daily training in rehearsal rooms, at auditions or on stage.
Research shows that meditation sharpens the ability to learn, reduces stress and creates the necessary serenity to stay focussed and perform.
As a teacher, I have been able to deduce that students can obtain significant results by including meditation as part of their training.
Throughout the past 8 years I have taught the art of meditation and I have developed an Act-Free Meditation Technique of 28-36 lessons (3 ECTS), especially designed for students in training as well as their professional development.
In order to become an open and present performer you must feel balanced and in tune with your feelings and needs. Personal development is a demanding one for everybody. However, it is especially challenging when you are exposed to performances which require a high level of physical endurance.
Throughout this course I introduce various themes with the purpose of supporting the students’ self-consciousness and their ability to reflect on how they and others behave.
After a few sessions, students will walk away with useful tools for conscious focusing and possess a greater self-awareness which will enhance their performance on stage and in their daily lives.
We incorporate on-going practical exercises both at an individual and collective level so that the students can increase their confidence levels and their resilience to challenges they will face.
Some of the themes I introduce to the students are:
- We begin by exploring the students’early life experiences. Clarifying these events are key as they incite security and self-esteem.
- We look at how students interact with the world. They become aware of how they develop new relationships, how they deal with first impressions. They are trained to improve their self-awareness skills, their willingness to give and be generous towards others – a significant starting point of interaction with the world around them.
- We work on developing students’ insights and the ability to reflect and learn from their experiences.
- We incorporate on-going practical exercises both at an individual and collective level so that the students can increase their confidence levels and their resilience to challenges they will face.
